Confirmation classes help 7^th and 8^th graders grow into discipleship by learning the tradition of our faith.  This two-year program gives an overview of the Apostles’ Creed, Lord’s Prayer, Ten Commandments, Baptism, Holy Communion, the Bible and worship. 

During the school year, confirmands can attend class Sunday mornings at 9:15a.m. or Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  Monday classes are taught by the pastor.  In addition, students attend life trips to such places as the DuPage jail and a funeral home. 

Confirmands also attend worship, serve as acolytes, serve the community, and get to know their classmates.  An overnight trip is part of each year’s program.

Sleep Out Saturday

November 7-8, 2009  

An overnight stay at the church (after a bussed rally in Wheaton) educates students on homelessness.  Optionally, the student can collect pledges for Bridge Communities of DuPage County.

7^th and 8^th Grade Lutheran Youth Encounter

January 29-31, 2010   

Cost: $160.00 plus spending money

Registration by October 1, 2009

Overnight (2 nights) stay at a Naperville hotel.  Enjoy great Christian music for youth along with choice of seminars on various teen-related subjects.
